Advent Calendar

About this file.
This file contains a repeat of the installation instructions, including any 
late changes. There is also extra information to help you should you 
encounter any difficulty.


Installation Instructions

Important:  Like all calendars, it is essential that your computer is set to 
the correct date and time.  Set the date and time formats to the standard 
settings for ÔBritishÕ, ÔUKÕ or ÔUnited StatesÕ.  Any other country or custom 
settings will probably mean that the calendar will not work. Consult your 
manuals if you need help to change these settings.
 
Windows 3.1
1.  Start your computer and start Windows.
2.  Quit any applications you may have open.
3.  Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
4.  In the ÔFileÕ menu, select ÔRunÕ.
5.  Type  D:\santa.exe (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive).
6.  The Advent Calendar will start, taking you to the appropriate day.


Windows 95
1.  Start your computer.
2.  Quit any applications you may have open.
3.  Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
4.  Click the ÔStartÕ button and select ÔRunÕ.
5.  Type  D:\santa95.exe (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive).
6.  The Advent Calendar will start, taking you to the appropriate day.

If you have enough free space, you can copy the entire CD to your hard 
disk. You will benefit from increased performance, but note that you must 
still have the CD-ROM in your drive for it to work.


Macintosh
1. Start your Macintosh.
2.  Quit any applications you may have open.
3.  Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
4.  Double click the ÔAdventÕ CD icon to open its window.
5.  Double click the appropriate icon for your computer.
	- ÒSanta MacÓ for standard Macintosh
	- ÒSanta PPCÓ for Power Macintosh
6.  The Advent Calendar will start, taking you to the appropriate day.

If you have enough free space, you can copy the entire CD by dragging the 
CDs icon to your hard disk. Having done this, if you are lucky enough to 
have loads of free RAM, you may like to increase the amount used by the 
calendar, by using the Get Info window. You will benefit from increased 
performance, but note that you must still have the CD-ROM in your drive 
for it to work.

256 colour monitor (640x480)
8 bit sound card.

Macintosh
A Macintosh LCIII with 5mb of available RAM.
Sytem 7.0.1
13Ó monitor (640x480) with 256 colours (8 bit).
Double speed, multisession CD-ROM drive using Apple CD-ROM 
Software version 5.1.2



Troubleshooting
If your computer only sees the CD as an audio disc, you will need to 
update your driver software. Contact your local dealer, on-line resources 
or computer manufacturer for assistance.

We have tested this disc with as many different computer configurations 
as possible, but it is impossible to test every option. If you 
have problems, we cannot offer telephone support, but please look at our 
web site for assistance. You can also contact us by email, but please ensure
